Sam Meacham FI'00
Mr. Meacham is the founder and Director of El Centro Investigador del Sistema Acuífero de Quintana Roo, México (CINDAQ). Mr. Fortin is one of the lead exploration divers for CINDAQ and its Chief Information Officer involved with data sharing and analysis for collaboration with scientific partners.
CINDAQ’s projects include the exploration of Sistema Ox Bel Ha, world’s second longest cave and the adjacent UNESCO World Heritage site, the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. CINDAQ provides the scientific community with a rich dataset while educating locals and visitors about this precious groundwater resource.
Mr. Meacham earned a Master of Science in Natural Resources from the University of New Hampshire and appeared in documentary films for CNN, Discovery, PBS, NHK, National Geographic and BBC. Mr. Fortin’s professional background includes the publication of several books and articles.

Jon Dodd MN'23
Mr. Dodd is an experienced marine biologist and the Executive Director of the Atlantic Shark Institute, an independent non-profit based in Rhode Island, dedicated to the biology, survival and sustainability of sharks in the northwestern Atlantic.
He spent his entire life on the water and caught, tagged and released more than 1,000 different sharks for a wide variety of research projects.
Mr. Dodd earned a Biology degree from the University of Rhode Island. He appeared in countless documentaries and articles including Discovery, National Geographic, Shark Week, Sharkfest, Forbes, Fortune, NBC, ABC, CBS, BBC, US News and World Report.
Brian Greene
Dr. Pyle is the Director of the Center for the Exploration of Coral Reef Ecosystems (EXCORE) and Senior Curator of Ichthyology at Bernice P. Bishop Museum in Honolulu. Brian Greene is an Ichthyology Research Specialist, Diving Safety Officer and Director of Expeditions for EXCORE.
Through the pioneering use of advanced diving and camera technologies, they explore mesophotic coral ecosystems (depths of 30-200 meters) with particular emphasis on the discovery and digital documentation of new species of fishes and organisms.
Dr. Richard Pyle
Dr. Pyle holds a PhD in Zoology and published over 220 scientific, technical and popular articles on ichthyology, diving technology and biodiversity and has been featured in over 50 film projects.
Mr. Greene enjoyed an unusual upbringing at Kwajalein Atoll, leading to a career in fish biology. He led scientific expeditions throughout Indo-Pacific region with the Bishop Museum, University of Hawaii, California Academy of Sciences, NOAA, BBC and National Geographic.
Howard Rosenstein
NYC-born Mr. Rosenstein played a significant role in the development of diving in the Mediterranean, Red Sea and Indian Ocean, enriching the lives of thousands of divers. He was also involved in the discovery of Roman treasure in the Mediterranean.
As founder and president of Fantasea Line Underwater Photo Products, Mr. Rosenstein led the development of many modern underwater photosystems.
He was inducted into the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame and his photographs appeared in many magazines and books.
Dr. Gaëlle Roth
Dr. Roth is a volunteer veterinarian for the Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo and co-director of the Bermuda Turtle Project which for nearly 56 years has been researching the health of the sea turtle aggregation in Bermuda and the various challenges impacting the habitat and life cycle of sea turtles.
Dr. Roth has a diploma in Conservation Medicine from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association. She received her Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine, complimented by the Small Animal Internship at the University of Ghent in Belgium.
