Dispatches from the Field, a new digital program designed to bring The Explorers Club community closer—wherever you are.

Each session kicks off with a 15-20-minute talk from a Featured Speaker, recorded and posted later to the public on explorers.org and our YouTube channel.

This will be followed by Campfire sessions—intimate, Members-Only breakout groups where you can connect, share ideas, and build relationships.

This edition features Dezső Molnár FN’24, to present “Flying Cars for Exploration”

Flying cars are emerging as a new frontier for exploration and competition, and Dezső Molnár — creator of the Gyrocycle and veteran of land speed records, rocket racing, and early private spaceflight — explains why their time has come. He shows how these vehicles can reach terrain no ground machine can, unlock entirely new racing formats, and spark the same innovation motorsports has had on aircraft and automobiles for decades. With electric air taxis positioned to begin flight in major cities, public perception is shifting fast. Molnár argues that exploration and competition will be the forces that push flying cars from experimental curiosities to essential tools for expanding human reach.
