MATCHING CHALLENGE FOR EXPLORERS CLUB MEMBERS
Launched in early 2024, Impact Grants were established to provide significant support to explorers and scientists globally. Projects supported to date include shark conservation in Bahrain and Colombia; hi-tech glacier studies in Antarctica; rewilding of jaguars in Argentina and other wildlife studies in Cameroon, India, Tanzania and Madagascar; the search in Patagonia for further evidence of the end of the Late Cretaceous; as well as the climate-induced migration of the traditional Himba people in Namibia.
Exceptional applications are being submitted to the program, and we are in need of additional funds to support more highly worthy explorers and their projects.

JOIN OUR MATCHING CHALLENGE!
As we enhance our commitment to support exploration this autumn, the first phase is a call to our membership to support our Impact Grants Program through a matching challenge made by an anonymous member of the Club, who has contributed $100,000 to the program.
As our challenge donor notes:
“We are in extraordinary times: the very foundations of science and exploration are experiencing a tectonic shift, and means to fund research in these fields is vastly diminished. As a member of this exceptional community of like minds, I felt both a responsibility and a calling to stand with and support our fellow explorers for the critically important work they do.

As a contributor to our matching challenge, you will be engaging more closely with our grantees and their projects. In addition, we will have a drawing of several names from our challenge contributors who will receive a special gift bag of Club gear!
GO FURTHER: SUPPORT AND ENGAGE WITH THE PROGRAM!
Explorers Club Impact Grants are funded by our Council of Impact Advisors, in addition to other program Contributors. We welcome Club members to join the Council, and have the unique opportunity to engage more closely with our grantees through special events and online briefings. You will learn about our explorers and their projects from the final steps of the grant review process onward–thus delving into exploration from conception to completion of remarkable and timely fieldwork.
