  • First Call for Nominations for 2021 and 2022

Submissions Deadline is Monday, January 17, 2022 at 5:00 PM EST.

ECAD 2022 will be held in-person, and we are now accepting nominations for 2022 awardees! Additionally, since we were unable to hold ECAD 2021, due to the pandemic, we are accepting nominations for 2021 as well.

Nominations are now open for the following award categories: The Explorers Club Medal, The Edward C. Sweeney Medal, and the Citation of Merit. ECAD 2022 will be a celebration of the awardees from 2021 and 2022 and we are also planning to honor the 2020 awardees which were chosen but not honored (again, due to the pandemic).

The Flag and Honors Committee invites you to participate by nominating those who are making exceptional contributions in the fields of exploration and scientific research, and who are dedicated to the principles of The Explorers Club as set forth in Articles II and III of the Bylaws.
