Lunch with the Legendary Don Walsh MED’61

The first person to reach the Challenger Deep

Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have lunch with Explorers Club Medalist Don Walsh, American oceanographer, explorer, and marine policy specialist.

He and Jacques Piccard were aboard the bathyscaphe Trieste when it descended to the deepest point of the world’s oceans, the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, on January 23, 1960.
