Join us this fall for our First Educator’s Roundtable

This fall, The Explorers Club is launching its inaugural Educator’s Roundtable, an exclusive professional development opportunity for educators in the tri-state area who are passionate about curiosity, discovery, and bringing the latest news in exploration back into their classrooms.

Selected educators will become part of a cohort that engages with the Explorers Club’s renowned Public Lecture Series, attending five lectures of their choosing featuring world-class explorers, scientists, researchers, conservationists, photographers, and storytellers who are expanding our understanding of the world.

Throughout the program, participants will engage with a cohort of fellow educators to reflect on the ideas presented throughout the series, exchange innovative teaching strategies and explore ways to translate exploration into authentic classroom learning.

Lectures begin after Labor Day and run weekly on Mondays through December. The roundtable discussion will be held on December 15, 2026 at 5pm. In-person attendance at The Explorers Club Headquarters in New York City is mandatory for consideration in this program.

More about our lectures:

The Explorers Club Monday Night Lecture Series has a rich history dating back more than a century, and is a time-honored Club tradition that stems from the informal and small-scale discussions held by explorers and Club members of the early 20th century. Since then, legendary explorers from Jim Lovell to Jane Goodall have presented from the club’s iconic lectern. The lectures have since become part of the heartbeat of the organization’s culture, and a platform from which people from all backgrounds and specializations can share their discoveries and passions with their peers and general public.

Information about the 2027 cohort will be announced in December 2026
