The Veterans Archive at the Explorers Club is seeking information about our members who are veterans.
This is an ongoing project going back to the Civil War and includes members who are veterans in countries other than the US. Please send us material relating to your service. Photos, stories, books, and mementoes will be accepted.
Next time you are at the club, ask to see the Veterans Archive. And please go to the second floor where you will find a memorial plaque on the wall honoring George Frederick Norton (1876-1917). He was a driver in he American Ambulance Corps, section 1, in service for France. A German bomb, falling in front of his ambulance, killed Norton on July 12, 1917.
Please send material relating to your service to Lacey Flint, Archivist and Curator of Collections, The Explorers Club.
