The World Air League Press Event
A Race for the Planet, A Race for Humanity – Call for Action
The World Air League is producing the World Sky Race, the epic historic first race of airships to circle our Planet Earth. The World Air League challenges airship teams to compete, globally.
A Race for the Planet
Enough Talk. Action Now. The World Air League (WAL) chooses leadership. Our mission is to provide practical solutions for aviation to be green and sustainable. The engineering proofs already exist. The physics are simple. Buoyancy simply allows floating in air, lighter-than-air. No energy is necessary to float in the air. It is with these most elemental physical facts, the WAL challenges inventors to invent and adventurers to compete.
A Race for Humanity
The United Nations estimates there are 59,000,000 teachers in the world. Connecting the world, the Race will reaffirm the universal truth that education – the foundation of civilization – is based on storytelling. The stories need to be interactive and live. They need to be provocative and relevant. For an entire school year, classroom discussions around the world will start with the fun question, “Where are the airships today?”, inviting discussion of geography, history, science, math, and more.
