THE GREAT TREE STORY: An Evening with Levison Wood at The Explorers Club

He has walked the entire length of the Nile, crossed the Himalayas on foot and travelled through more than 100 countries, documenting some of the most extraordinary and remote places on Earth.

Now world-renowned explorer, bestselling author and filmmaker Levison Wood turns his attention to one of the greatest stories of all: the forests that shaped human civilisation.

For one night at The Explorers Club during New York Climate Week, Levison brings his acclaimed new book, The Great Tree Story, to life, revealing the extraordinary ways forests have shaped our history, our beliefs, our adventures and the world we live in today.

From the trees that fuelled empires and inspired ancient myths, to the remarkable science we are only now beginning to understand, this is a journey across continents and through thousands of years of human history.

And the story is only just beginning.

Guests will also be among the first to hear about an ambitious new global nature and film project inspired by The Great Tree Story, taking Levison back into some of the world’s most extraordinary forests to explore why their future matters to all of us.

Copies of The Great Tree Story will be available to purchase and have signed by Levison following the event.

This in-person event at the Explorers Club Headquarters will include an audience Q&A.
