In honor of his 150th birthday, Shackleton 150 will be a day focusing on Ernest Shackleton, his expeditions, and celebrating the recent discoveries of his vessels Quest and Endurance.

Through talks from experts, discussions among peers, and visual presentations of archival content, attendance is a must for anyone interested in this titan of exploration.

The symposium is a partnership between The Explorers Club and the Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton Appreciation Society.

Amongst the speakers will be Shackleton scholars from the National Maritime Museum (Greenwich, London), the Royal Geographical Society, the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and more.

The program includes a full day of lectures on Saturday, February 15, and a special dinner on Saturday night.

Full event tickets include access to dinner Saturday night, while the Symposium Only ticket affords entry to the lectures on Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Dinner includes a welcome reception, an open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres, a Shackleton stew with vegetarian option, a special Endurance cocktail, tours of the Clubhouse, and intimate networking, storytelling, and revelry alongside the world’s top Shackleton experts.

Come celebrate a happy 150th birthday for one of history’s great characters, at the greatest Club on Earth.
