Dispatches from the Field, a new digital program designed to bring The Explorers Club community closer—wherever you are.

Each session kicks off with a 10-minute talk from a Featured Speaker, recorded and posted later to the public on explorers.org and our YouTube channel.

This will be followed by Campfire sessions—intimate, Members-Only breakout groups where you can connect, share ideas, and build relationships.

This edition features Melanie Kirby, EC50 2025, to present “From the Soil to the Sky: The Broadcast and Reception of Bees Woven through Space and Time”

Join EC50 Awardee Melanie Kirby, known as the Nectar Nomad, as she shares insights into the diversity of bees across landscapes and their stewardship across cultures. Through interdisciplinary reflection and whole-system learning, this presentation weaves Indigenous and Western knowledge systems to strengthen advocacy for biodiversity conservation.
