Dispatches from the Field, a new digital program designed to bring The Explorers Club community closer—wherever you are.
Each session kicks off with a 10-minute talk from a Featured Speaker, streamed live to the public on explorers.org and our YouTube channel.
This will be followed by Campfire sessions—intimate, Members-Only breakout groups where you can connect, share ideas, and build relationships.
This edition features Mark Hannaford, EC50 2021, to present How to Flow in Extremes:
From leading expeditions for over thirty years to creating a medical sub-discipline, helping to raise $150M for charities through adventure challenges, and delivering $5M+ trauma aid and training to eastern Ukraine, mentioned in the Houses of Parliament, Mark has lived a life differently; how to be yourself and have a positive impact.

Mark Hannaford
Adventurer, pioneer, entrepreneur, founder, leader, and innovator.
In 2002, Mark Hannaford founded World Extreme Medicine, a global network delivering world-leading medical training and expertise in the world’s most extreme environments.
In 1996, Mark set up Across the Divide, an adventure challenge expedition company that enabled tens of thousands of people to experience the thrill of being part of an expedition and facilitated the raising of £103M/$132M for a multitude of UK charities.
This underscored the need to train medics to provide care in extreme environments, and so, a few years later, Mark set up World Extreme Medicine, a global platform that has since trained over 20,000 medics in extreme medicine.
