Dispatches from the Field, a new digital program designed to bring The Explorers Club community closer—wherever you are.
Each session kicks off with a 10-minute talk from a Featured Speaker, recorded and posted later to the public on explorers.org and our YouTube channel.
This will be followed by Campfire sessions—intimate, Members-Only breakout groups where you can connect, share ideas, and build relationships.
This edition features Jeffrey Bozanic FN’88, to present “Extreme Remote Diving: Inside the 2026 Shag Rocks & Antarctica Expedition”
Join us LIVE from the field as the 2026 Shag Rocks & Antarctica Expedition gets underway, exploring one of the most remote regions of the Southern Ocean. This February, a team of scientific and citizen-science divers will complete the first known scuba dives and shallow subtidal biological collections at Shag Rocks, an isolated outcrop near the Antarctic Convergence. This presentation will share early observations from these dives, highlight the logistical and operational challenges of conducting extreme-latitude research, and preview the scientific goals for the upcoming Antarctic phase of the expedition.
