Friday at 5pm – The American West: The Future of Public Lands – and the Wildlife that Depend on Them
Across the 12 Western states, including millions of acres of mountains forests, tundra, and grasslands belong to the American Public. Roughly half of the region’s land area is federally owned. Yet public land is not the same as protected land. These landscapes are asked to serve profoundly different purposes. How these lands are managed, restored, or developed will help determine what endures for generations to come.
Join investigative journalist Cayte Bosler for a conversation about the lands we hold in common–and what meaningful stewardship now requires. Featuring Raj Reddy, Director of the Animal Law Program at Lewis & Clark Law School; Christopher Keyes, founder and Executive Director at RE:PUBLIC; Christopher Sichko, economist, environmental researcher, and wildlife photographer.
