Artist, writer and thought leader John Mack will present a dynamic talk based on his years-long exploration of the increasingly slippery boundary between reality and virtuality. Mack’s inquiry will focus on his exploration of today’s US National Parks through the lens of our digital devices to ask the question: what might our digital environments be telling us about our inner environments?
This talk coincides with his recent publication Notes to Selfie: Bits of Truth in a Phoney World and will serve as a preview of Mack’s month-long technology exhibition this September in NYC, A Species Between Worlds: Our Nature, Our Screens, which weaves a narrative arc exploring our psychological drives in an increasingly digital world.
Streaming live here on explorers.org, our YouTube Channel, and our Facebook Live — Tuesday, April 19th at 7:00 pm ET.
