Join The Explorers Club on Monday, June 12th to hear the first-hand account of Rick Stanton, a renowned cave diver who was key in the 2018 rescue of 12 boys and their soccer coach from the flooded Tham Luang caves in Thailand.
In June 2018, twelve boys, aged 11-16, became trapped in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave system with their soccer coach after heavy rainfall flooded the cave while they were exploring inside. Over the course of the following 18 days, a massive, international rescue effort was launched involving over 10,000 people. Among them was Rick Stanton, a British civilian cave diver whose unique skillset and cave-diving experience lead him to becoming a key figure in the rescue operations. Come to The Explorers Club on Monday, June 12th, to hear first-hand the dramatic and inspiring story that was documented in the award winning film The Rescue.
This will be an in-person lecture at Explorers Club Headquarters.
In-person tickets are $15 for Members, and $30 for the General Public.
Check-in will begin at 6:00 pm, with a beer and wine reception from 6:00 – 7:00 pm
