Explorers Club Grants

Obtain expedition support from our Explorers Club - Our Youth Activity Fund and Exploration Fund for Students, and the Scott Pearlman Field Awards for Science and Exploration, named in honor of Scott Pearlman, expedition photographer and a member of three flag expeditions.

Our New York City Headquarters

The Lowell Thomas Building

Including the Members Lounge and Bar, the Trophy Room, the Clark Room and Second Floor Library, Map Room, and LeFrak Terrace for your own events. This historic building is open for you and your friends to visit. At the heart of the Lowell Thomas Building is our extraordinary 100 year-old archive, the James B. Ford Library and the Sir Edmund Hillary Map Room.

Reciprocal Privileges

To clubs and establishments in New York, discounts in New York restaurants as well as seventeen other clubs in the United States and other places in the world.

Members may also enjoy our informal affiliations with the American Museum of Natural History, the National Geographic Society, the Royal Geographic Society, and the American Alpine Club, among other important organizations and societies. Most importantly, the Club affords the joy of company with fellow explorers, famous or unknown, who share your spirit of exploration and camaraderie, in one of our 26 Chapters around the world.
