PROTECTING THE OCEAN THROUGH CRIMINAL LAW

Come see Sylvia Earle in a Fireside Chat with John Vermilye. Sylvia and John will discuss the movement to give our oceans legal rights, as well as launch their new network: Ocean for Ecocide Law. This new initiative will push to have ecocide adopted as a crime by the International Criminal Court, providing a legal framework that protects ocean wildlife and marine habitats by recognizing the intrinsic value of the ocean and its ecosystems.
