Frank Sinatra and Mountaineering! Not quite, but there is a mountaineering twist to this film. In his final starring performance, Sinatra plays a troubled New York City homicide detective, searching for a serial killer with a very unusual weapon, the mountaineering twist.
Shot on location in the City, Sinatra in tracing the weapon, visits the shop of a well known, to the climbing community, purveyor of climbing equipment. Although the merchant is not mentioned in the credits, may climbers from that era, the 1960's-1980's should recognize him.
