This presentation will be a conversation between two musicians for who exploration to remote places and use of remote sounds is an important part of their work—Rothenberg with birds, whales, insects, other musicians of the natural world, and Anderson with adventures all over the globe, from the North Pole to Outer Space. Music is an important part of intercultural understanding, and Ms. Anderson and Mr. Rothenberg will discuss, through stories and examples, its role in exploration.
