malott “Why I Joined The Explorers Club”

“I knew a lot of members and was familiar with the expeditions they had taken.  Also the Club was fairly close to where I lived in New York, therefore, I was able to frequently take advantage of mid-week programs.

During the first few years of my membership I was on the exotic hors
d’oeuvre committee and would bring to the Club edible tidbits for
consumption; turkey gonads, raw calves eyes and iguana tails to name a
few.  These were used at the annual dinner.

At any rate, I have always enjoyed the membership in the Club and look forward to many future years of membership.”
